Who we are
Ganpati Trailer Service (Ganpati Trailer Service) arranges road freight transport between businesses that need goods moved and the owners of commercial vehicles. What we collect
We collect only what we need to arrange and complete a consignment.
- From businesses shipping goods: contact name, company name, mobile number, email address, GST number, billing address, and the details of each consignment.
- From truck owners and drivers: name, mobile number, vehicle registration number, and copies of the driving licence, registration certificate and insurance certificate required to lawfully carry a load.
- Automatically: basic technical information such as your device type and the pages you visited, used to keep the service working.
Why we collect it
- To match a consignment to a suitable vehicle and confirm the arrangement.
- To verify that a vehicle and its driver are lawfully permitted to carry goods, which we are obliged to check.
- To keep you informed of the status of a consignment.
- To raise invoices and maintain accounting records as required by Indian law.
- To resolve disputes, claims and loss or damage to goods.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- Between the two sides of a consignment: once a load is assigned, the shipper and the truck owner are given each other's name and mobile number so they can coordinate. Neither is given the other's commercial terms.
- Service providers: the companies that host our systems and send our SMS messages, who process data only on our instructions.
- Authorities: where we are required to disclose information by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Consignment and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax and company law requires. Driver documents are kept while a truck owner works with us and for a reasonable period afterwards to answer any claim. Records no longer needed for either purpose are deleted.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the people who need it to do their work. Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise, but we take the protection of driver documents and commercial terms seriously.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep. Write to ganpatitrailers@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Children
This is a service for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified to active customers directly.
